For the price, AMD cannot be beaten by Intel. You can buy a quad core Phenom
for the price of a C2D.

yet, for like 40 bucks more you can get Phenom killer in a Q6600 or if you want an X3210 quad you can get that for like 20-30 more.

It's true, how much longer can AMD keep going?

If AMD goes though, could an anti-trust suit follow? Just wondering since AMD and INTEL pretty much dominate the CPU market what with MAC making the switch to INTEL processors.

There are only 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who can read binary, and those who can't.

IBM or Via might follow over AMD's spot. Depends how determined they are.

They wouldn't be the competition AMD are to Intel though, would they?

Thumbs down Re: The answer to "THAT" question. 2007 Edition

I hate threads like this. It doesn't matter they are two different processors. the bolth work well. Its a matter of what YOU like - not what other people say is "better" or "faster"

I prefer AMDs for gaming machines and graphics design

I prefer Intel for office and minor use of video/music applications

its just up to what you like to use for what.
