ok i have a regular gateway computer(windows xp home edition) and i want to know if i buy this http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...Tab=1&NoMapp=0 software will it work on my computer?

i have a gateway 250gb hdd, 1gb memory, the intrgrated video card and sound card but i will change that though. 2.80 dual core processor

but you would have to reinstall windows. are you ok with that?

Yeah this will work fine, but you will have to reformat you HD and loose all the info you have on it unless you back it up on another comp or HD. It should work fine i dont see why so many people want Media Center

What OS you use Dev? I have XP Pro SP2, I also don't see the big yahoo about Media Centre either...

WinXP home is good for the basic user. Pro just has a lot of junk most people will never need.
