are not the 5600+ AM2 sockets? and are not those incompatible with a 939 socket?

Yeah, they are AM2 sockets. You would have to upgrade the mobo. Just suggestions though. You should be good with the Athlon 64 x2 3600+ I think.

The 3600 with that mobo will go for a long time, you won't notice any slowing. It's actually a very fast proc. You'll like it, and you will probably be able to wait 2 years before upgrading the mobo/cpu.
