nah only thing un over clocked that dosnt bottle neck is a quad

No, Rudster is right. It's the GPUs that are playing catch up ATM, not CPUs. That 3600+ X2 will go fine with an 8800GTS (the old one that is), I think TBH that there would probably be a little bit of a bottleneck with the new G92 GTS.

Thanks guys. one more question gpu=graphics processing unit? where exactly does the bottle necking occur? What should i look for in future builds?

I recommend a 8800GT.

if u have enough moolah. than the 5600+ is great.. its not a super Proc. but then again its not a POS proc.. that what i got for my new build

I agree. I was gonna get the 5600+ because it is a great processor for the price.
