figured things would work better to have EVGA mobo with EVGA video cards, keep both hard drives WD and as much stuff SLI if i'm going to try running two video cards.
Thanks for the help and advice.

Do you really want to spend all that money on a 780i. The only thing it has over the 680i is 3-way SLI and PCI-E 2.0 support. If you're not going to do SLI at all then I recommend an Intel chipset, either the P35 or the X38; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130098 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131219. RAM is good, try and get two sets if you can. BTW, an EVGA video card won't run any better on a mobo made by EVGA than it would on a Gigabyte or ASUS etc board. And I think that's overpriced for an 8800GTS. EVGA are a good brand but I wouldn't pay $70 more to have one. This is just as good: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127323. I love the case and PSU you've chosen. I was almost sure when I clicked on the link that it'd be an Antec 900. From the parts you'e chosen I assume this is for gaming, if so then I recommend the E8400: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037 Prices are quite high ATM because of availability, but Newegg should have it back in stock soon. This is one of the new 45nm Wolfdales and can reach 4.3GHz when overclocked to it's limits. The Q6600 is about to be replaced and is not required in a gaming PC.
