Default annoying error!

recently ive been getting this error when i use certain disks in my disk drives the error is "demo32.exe - application error The instruction at "0x668d9d70" referenced memory at "0x0107577c". The memory could not be "read".

Click ok to terminate the program
Click cancel to debug the program

so far this has happened with my audigy 2 disk and when i try to backup movies so does anyone know what this is? and if i can fix it?

Tell me what type of RAM you have and if it's the same brand and size. This problem usually occurs with hl2, but I think it's fixable.

no it doesnt occur with games, for some reason they work fine its just certain disks like today i could burn dvds with no problem but when i try to install my sound card software i get the error and the other day i couldnt burn dvds...
