Default Animated Desktop

Is it possinble to have an animated desktop, for example a picture like the original xp backgorund only with shadows moving and it it going dark when it actually goes dark perhaps eve with weather?

i used to have an html page as a background! it was a clock thing, very good - it was a sort of animation. i remember it took ages to sort out though.

would gifs work as backgrounds? i would think so. so if you made one dont see any reason it wouldnt work?? could be wrong though!

You probably could get them on the background but having an animation at 1028x768 would take a bit of system resources and would take ages 2 save lol. I think it would be distracting aswell tho.
