Default Are AMD2 processors faster than originals?

This might be a stupid question.

But is an AMD2 processor faster than 939 AMD processor?

And what are the new Intel processors coming out? Conroe?

Thanks.

Here you are. As for the AM2, they better be faster than 939. Seeing how the prices are higher. But I don't know for sure.

I think AM2 is only 4% faster, but they overclock better, and support DDR2 ram. Here is a good site on amd www.amd-networks.com/

the main perk about am2 is the use of ddr2 ram. but at this point. am2 is pretty pointless. conroe is on it's way. core 2 duo.
