Default Amd vs Intel

Ok for JUST gaming, is AMD or INTEL better? I have a 8800GT, and what fps for high graphics. Which will produce the best fps? Im thinking the E6850 vs amd.

yes true AMD is getting there ass kick, and for gaming yes go with the C2D
but i thought we already have a thread like this in general and then the proc thing

Well, his question was in regards to the Intel E8650 vs AMD 6400+ Black. Suggesting other processors is kinda off the subject and does not help with his original question.
