Just because you own shares in a company doesn't mean you have to use their stuff, you just need to believe and be sure that people are gonna buy it, and I don't think AMD are going anywhere any time soon :P

And that is because they bought ATI. If they didn't, they would be in trouble.
It's not their CPU's that's keeping the company in good health.
