To be honest, every 64 bit AMD benchmark I have seen to do with gaming beats the Pentium.

Lol; I like to think they're doing it to taunt AMD. AMD will smell success and then suddenly a new Range will come out with 64-bit, or just a huge upgrade tot he Prescott and they won't be able to see Intel again.
