As long as you're going to put the extra cores to good use. I upgraded from a Phenom II X4 940 to my 1100T, and while I don't regret the change, I would have been happy still rocking the 940.

6 Cores (or 8 for that matter) is overkill for 90% of the people out there.

I'm even saying this given what I use my PC for - video rendering, editing and other projects that DO use the cores. But overall, the chip is largely unused.

If you ever have ran UDK and Unity, all the cores are used nearly all of the time. Im not just upgrading to tell everyone im upgrading.
