As long as you're going to put the extra cores to good use. I upgraded from a Phenom II X4 940 to my 1100T, and while I don't regret the change, I would have been happy still rocking the 940.
6 Cores (or 8 for that matter) is overkill for 90% of the people out there. I'm even saying this given what I use my PC for - video rendering, editing and other projects that DO use the cores. But overall, the chip is largely unused. |

If you ever have ran UDK and Unity, all the cores are used nearly all of the time. Im not just upgrading to tell everyone im upgrading.
