Default AMD or Intel?

Ok, i've always used AMD...Because i had one in my first PC and have never liked to change it. I've built PC's with P4's in but never really used one.

So...Who's better, and why???

What you intend to do with the PC is the overriding question. Both Processors do different things differently, and with the answer to that one simple question the decision is easily made.

I've never tried AMD as a matter of fact ...

Seriously? Well you should. It will make you feel more proud of using Intels if you use an AMD once.

Intel- Runs hot, even though they got a higher "Ghz" they are infact SLOWER if ya ever intend to OC you won't go far.
AMD- Runs cool, fast a mid market AMD could compete with a higher end Intel no prob. A low market AMD could compete with a mid market Intel.

Amd you can get a lot more bang for the buck.

Yes, amd is the best. Better performance (games and the like) and even though the clock speeds runs slower, amd makes up for it by a higher fsb and 64-bit. They rule!
