Ahh - but then you'd be ruling out AMD X2s and AMD FXs alvino Sorry for being so annoying

The X2's are actually called AMD Athlon 64 X2. The FX's are their own series.

That Cool & Quiet makes a heck of a difference! Just toning down that multiplier while the system is idle makes so much difference.

It does doesn't it.

The voltage also drops too. Mine drops to 1.1v.

hmm i might try it when i can be bothered but most of the time i play cs on my comp so i doubt it would slow down at all, alvino ive been meaning to ask u, how on earth did u get a coreduo already and how does it perform???

Well I do like the my cpu to run at 2.4 with my 3800x. So would cool and quiet be an issue for me? I don't mind it declocking itself if thats the case, but you know game time I want the sucker up.
