They have a intel at 4.0ghz? Well the best AMD processor as of right now is the AMD FX-60 chip.

To actually answer his question.. The AMD equivilent to a 4.0ghz intel CPU would be the Amd64 Athlon 4000+.

Does he mean an Intel chip at 4Ghz, or Intel Pentuim 4?

Without overclocking, I dont think there is an Intel chip at 4Ghz

Probably OCed to 4GHZ...but I doubt.
Honest, Intel at 4GHZ, let's assume, is equivalent to 4000+ on AMD.

The speed is lower, but the effective speed on an AMD is much higher than the digits. I even think 4000+ is not equal to Intel, as it is more faster than 4.0....perhaps a 4.2.

no! 2 cores of 2.0 GHz is not 4 GHz! each core is at 2 GHz.

That is no way .. amd has the fx-60 one out if 4000=4.2 intel then fx-60= 6.0 intel that is so outta technology

Not really because the 4000+ was never too much better than the Intels at the time, which were only 3.6, 3.8.
