Default Amd Athlon 2800 Running hot

I am Working on my little borthers computer and he has a amd athlon 2800 Barton Edition... I noticed its running at 65C-67C Idle.....i havent ran the cpu at max to see the temp but i find that temp to be really high.......if anyone has this type of cpu, could you let me know what your cpu idle temp is?

Mine runs at about 46C idle.

No its clean...i had to change the mother board for him...it blew......it ran just as hot on the other motherboard.....i just have the computer at my house right now and i thought i should get it running cooler

just the heat sinc that came with it....i mean this thing is smokin(not actually smokin).....its been like that since it was bought though

I think it could be time for a new heatsink, I have my AMD XP 2100 overlclocked and it's getting reconised as a 2800, but a little slower, and under 100% load it's in the 40s to 50s Celcius..
