Default AMD AM2 Socket

Are AMD AM2 socket motherboards still made? I am having a problem finding them.

I don't think they are being manufactured as it is a very outdated platform.

Thanks Tech but I decided to buy an AM3+ board, CPU, and DDR3 memory. I think in the long run it will be the best thing to do.

Definitely the best thing to do. Don't buy outdated hardware unless you are on a tight budget or buying used hardware or if you already have older hardware that you want to re-use. I thought that you already had a CPU and ddr2 RAM sense you asked for a AM2 socket motherboard.

You're correct, I currently have an AM2 CPU, Mobo, and DDR2 memory. The Mobo went bad so instead of replacing the AM2 Mobo with a new AM2 Mobo, I thought it would be best to upgrade to AM3+ and DDR3 stuff.
