Hey, I have a 2600+ overclocked to 2.31ghz and im quite pleased with its performance but i think im going to switch over to 64bit processing....im looking at the 3200+ socket 939....thats the best chip for my price range......i was wondering how much that upgrade would improve my scores in 3dmark03.......i have a 6800 oc and im scoring 10200......what scores do you think i would hit with the 3200+.....also how overclockable is the 3200+?

I would recomend getting the 64bit processor a few friends have bought them and they say it runs great it just takes more caution putting everyhting toegther correctly or you will be spending big money fixing your problems....i am also building a 64 bit now too.

most fo the amd's are prety overclockable, make sure you get 90nm instead if the older 130nm technology. it will perform better. and yep amd 64 the way to go! though there is no software thats 64bit yet.... apart from windows x64 (still beta tho!)

just make sure you get the winchester core. also think about teh 3000+ i think jack22 said that they are better o/c that the 3200+

i've seen loyalists 3000+ shown as 2.6ghz..never seen the highest o/c with a 3200+, btw loyalists o/c is air cooled only and stull idle at 38 degrees

yeah but it wouldnt idle at 38 degrees with silent cooling hes probably got a fan on there thats got a 40db rating

i'd say somethin fishy is going on there.....oh btw would i see an improvement in my 3dmark03 score im scoring 10200 now with my 2600+?
