Haha, touchet :P But I didn't feel like posting links :P

Best to worst:

Intel 950, expensive but better with Multitasking

AMD X2 4200+

Ok... I was wrong about the 950, I didn't realise the X2 4200+ was so far down the line :P

Intel Pentium D 840, would be better still than the X2 while the same price

I think But I love Intel and Multitasking.

this thread is hysterical

... hopefully, IF i get a job over the summer, I'll definitely go with a dual core, preferably an X2 4xxx. If not, i'll have to do something and save up... crap. McDonalds better call me back, I'm mad. Multitasking is amazing. In price club, they had an X2 4200, and 2 gigs of RAM. I opened up media center, WMP, Real Player, like 4 IE windows, the entire MS office, and played 2 videos and it barely lagged at all. I almost cried. Dual core is great. And that was on an AMD. I'm sure the Intel would have done slightly better, but AMD's are great
