Default AMD 64 CPU - Venice vs San Diego

Whats the difference between the Venice architecture and the San Diego architecture of the AMD 64 Series CPU's? Which one is better and why?

Venice - 512kb Cache, San Diego - 1MB cache. Figure out which one would be better.
