Default am2 or intel mobos better in ram?

I have been questioning what is better intel motherboards or am2 motherboards in regards to proformance in ram. I have searched the internet and have only came up with benchmark test with ddr400 and ddr2-800 for am2. They are somewhat impressive, but I was wondering will it matter on the new Intel chipsets and am2 chipsets in proformance? If anyone has any links or input much appreciated.

yeah, with am2 you dont need to spend so much on FB memory. And AM2 shows a continuation in the AMD's legacy of great performance from lower standard memory. Meaning you can purchase the relatively cheaper DDR2 ram, and it will perform equal, if not better than the intel ram set up.
