I'm buying parts for a computer tonight and I'm just wanting to make sure all these parts are compatible, thanks for any help.

no, you have a mismatch in fsb. get a processcor with socket 775, and a 800/1066 mgHz, and you will be good.

just get an AM2 motheboard and you will be able to take off very good cpu, i have it and it smokes other Intel's at the same price range even if you dont OC.

hmmm im not sure that would be the smartest way to go i mean there is now doubt the AMD is better than the celeron
BUT
what about in a years time when he wanst to upgrade he would probably be wanting a C2D so.....

im not sure it depends if he wants a good comp now or in a years time
