Default To all the Mac owners here.

I just bought a new Macbook. It is currently running 10.5 for the OS. Snow Leopard is in the mail on the way. I want to set up boot camp. Want to play some Left 4 Dead. How do I do this? Or, is it just better to dual boot?

You bought a mac. And you expect to play left 4 dead?

Why did you buy a mac again?

I heard there are problems with printing in Snow Leopard. If you plan on printing, you might want to hold off upgrading your OS.

It runs fine on Macbooks. Do your research before you say anything. I bought a Mac for all of the video and image editing I do. If you haven't heard, they perform a lot better than any Windows machine in that category.

Rohan, are you just looking for directions on how to set up Boot Camp? Or alternative ways to boot into windows on the Macbook?

I found a neat article that discusses how to use both "Boot Camp" and also "Parallels." Check it out.

If I'm totally off topic, explain a little more. I have Boot Camp running on two Macs in my house for my sister.

That was extremely helpful. Nice find! Since Photoshop and most editing software are compatible with both Mac and Windows, games are the only thing that are lacking. I do have my desktop with me to game, but I would like an option to play Source or Left 4 Dead if I ever leave the house. It isn't often, but I have urges to game, haha. I'll be going with Boot Camp since it's free. Is it possible to run Vista or Windows 7 yet?

Vista definitely is, as one of the two Macs in my house have Vista; the other has XP.

I have the article that I used printed and saved somewhere...can't find it at the moment. Here's an article for Vista and Boot Camp:

Here's the Windows 7 Installation Guide... it's the same website I linked earlier but this is their "Windows 7" guide. As you can see there, they give you the options of dual-booting, or using Parallels.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Yeah, because Steam hasn't come out with a version for Mac.
