i dropped my 1tb usb hard drive a day ago and now my computer is not reading it when i plug it into it. i have tried everything. i went into disk management and it finds it but i cant do anything with it. i have a lot of things on it i would love to keep (games, movies, music) any ideas besides formating it :S???
You can try running a scan/repair using HDD Regenerator or something similar, but it sounds like the disk is physically damaged. You might be able to read it long enough to copy the important data over after running a scan/repair, though.
