Default Is an Alienware laptop good for college?

I need a new laptop and i was thinkin of Alienware, but im not sure if its good. Any ideas?

Terrible for college. You will have to lug the thing around, and any gaming laptop is going to be massive and heavy. You would do best getting a small ASUS notebook.

I agree not good for college. I'm not a big gamer anyways so its not at the top of my list in general.

Acer laptops are really bad as far as reliability.

i have a acer and ive never had a problem with it for the money i dont think you can bet a acer laptop.

Just because you have not had a problem personally does not mean that they are reliable.

I've never had a problem with mine, nor has anyone else that I know with one. Just because you've had a problem personally does not mean that they are unreliable either ya know.

And an Alienware would be awful for college. They aren't exactly great on battery life..

I have never owned an acer laptop, I am going by repairs figures. IIRC, acer was the worst.

It's always a really stupid thing to say Acer laptops aren't reliable... I've had my one for ages and had no problems. But I agree, Acer or Asus notebooks are perfect for college.
