Default AGP slots.

I am looking to upgrade a friends video card. He has an AGP 2x/4x slot. I am wanting to know if a AGP 4x/8x card will run in his slot. I have never really dealt with AGP and well, there are no good 2x/4x video cards out there.

Just something you might wanna check though cos i have heard of cards being funny about this .If the card says 4X/8X then it should be fine but cards that just say 8X can have problems due to different voltages
Basically if you want to be sure check his board using PC wizard to find out what version the AGP port is , it should be 2.0 or 3.0 . ALso check the AGP version of the card . If the port is 2.0 and the card is 3.0 it will work but the card wont function corectly
