Adware Problem

Searched for mashta, searched for navmgrd.exe... nada. (Sigh.) Is it time for me to just give up and summon an exorcist?

Haha; ok:

Control Panel -> System -> System Restore Tab -> Then switch System Restore off -> Restart System -> Run Adaware -> Delete all Adware Files -> Run Spybot SearchandDestroy -> Delete anything that comes up -> Switch off Computer -> Switch Computer on -> Check Homepage

I hope that works; can never be sure.

It should if they listen,I had to disable Restore and delete the infected files.Are they afraid to do this,then good luck from good advice.

Great as most of "my work" is not what you do,as i just have a good time and no confussion using my PC.
Ad-Aware 6 is just the beginning.

Blake I did a quick search for the problem you listed and you might have to redo your computer.

So far there appear to be no easy "fixes" for the bug you got
If its true that this coolsearch crap is layered thru the registry you might never get it all out.

Ha; I've hardly ever used anything but Internet Explorer and I've never had a bad virus! What's wrong with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 then?

Okay, after following the various links you guys have provided, I found a program called CWShredder which seems to have (finally) eradicated this problem from my system. Anyone looking for the program, I found it at http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html
