Advise I might Give and WHY

As a real practicing computer tech I have the opportunity to examine and repair up to 6 pc's each and everyday.
Sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious.
I reccomended checking the reset switch as being stuck and freeing it up with lubrication-I have seen this happen at least 3 or 4 times because the switches used are cheap garbage-sometimes the plastic button gets stuck, sometimes the switch itself locks in the closed position.
Sometimes the switches break or the plastics snap.
On custom pc's the switch on the back on the power supply can get turned off and the computer obviously won't power up-Yet the user is oblivious to this event. Ive had calls for service and the unit wasn't plugged in.
I had a guy call me about his printer-won't print-I went out after asking him 3 times did he remove the tape from the printer cartridge. YES he maintained-He paid $70 because the tape was still on the cartridge.

The problem with people in general is they expect problems to be SERIOUS
sometimes they are an unremoved piece of tape.

I might start with a simple stupid sounding thing-but life is stupid

Check the stupid and obvious first-Then get technical.

My parting note to bluto.
