Default Advice on new system specs

I just got a quote from a local PC shop: (Prices in CAD)

1. Steel case in beige with 420W power supply $43
2. [939-pin] AMD® Athlon-64 3500+ CPU w/ Hyper Transport Technology $349
completed with CPU Fan and Heatsink
3. Two extra Case fans $10
4. ASUS A8N-SLI with PCI-express motherboard $249
5. Kingston 1024 MB [512MB X2] DDR-400 PC3200 Memory $216
6. GeForce 6600GT 128Mb (PCI-e) Video Card $259
7. Western Digital 160 GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA Hard Drive $120
8. LG Dual Format/Double Layer 16X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW Drive $91
(Visit LG website ca.lge.com on op. speed for model BSA 4163B)
9. On board 8 channels sound card -
10. On board 10/100 Network card -
11. 1.44 MB Internal Floppy Drive $12
12. Internet keyboard and mouse $15
Less system discount -$34

--------------------------------------------------------------
Net system price $1,330 Plus Tax

The price is the system assembled price.

Extra : Logitech cordless keyboard and optical mouse additional $34

In USD that comes out to $1,093.31

Whats everyones opinion please, very important. And have i neglected anything or should anything be changed. *I have my CRT 17" monitor and i will connect my old P4 and this new pc to it, so thats not necessary.

Thanks.

xx cobra xx, i dont knwo how to OC and am kinda scared b/c i dont wanna destroy anything. Thats why id rather just pay for the faster processor. But i got the 2 xtra case fans just in case i get brave enough to try one day, which i know i will, and then the machine will be that much faster. I heard i can OC it to the speed of a 3800+.

So you guys think the price is good?

You are spending way too much for that G card. You can find them for 180 each, I recommend getting two of them.

I also thought that was a bit high for the card, unfortunatly in the great white north i cant get that card here for the USD prices (the card was $259 CAD), and most US sites dont deliver to canada or take canadian credit cards for delivery in the US. I also asked for VIVO in the card so i am sure thats included in that price as well.

i would suggest building it yourself you can get alot cheaper then that. get what i got il post you some links.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...=A455-2110%20B
since you want the a8n sli sell that mobo on ebay and you will get around 120$.

http://shop3.outpost.com/product/3868527
that website also has 1gig of pc3200 400 mhz kingston dual chan memory for 100$. Not the greatest memory but still pretty good
then you can easily get 2x 6600gts for around 190$ each. Also you can find dvd burners for 60$.
