Default advice on new shooter

can anyone recommend a 1st person shooter that isnt too expensive, and is not only online.(i dont have router) I have a hp pavilion dv5000, and amd turion 64 processor, ati radion express 200m graphics card, 1000 mb ram, and 100 gb harddrive. Im looking in the area of battlefield, or call of duty 2 but i think the framerate will be too slow(i have call of duty 2...) i was thinking of something along the lines of not too expensive, like around 40$. If anyone can help me, i will truly appreciate it.

Well, I know. Peter is the one seeking for the help. He has the laptop, and john123 helped him by creating the thread. That's why.

If I am wrong, CORRECT ME!
