The hard drive your getting, there's a thing on it that says it comes free with some Antec cases. I was wondering if the case you are getting is part of that deal or not to get the drive for free.

This should finish my order. Is it a good video card? And also, how important it is for me to get a sound card as well? Should I or isn t really necessary? Sorry guys for all the rookie questions, but I really appreciate your help!

get the intel core 2 e6420 for about 20$ more its definatly worth it.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130056

also get some better memory

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...750&CatId=2370

http://www.mwave.com/mwave/skusearch...iteria=BA23796

check out some other websites besides newegg because you may beable to find some parts cheaper. I usually use tigerdirect mwave newegg outpost zipzoomfly and buy.com

the integrated audio should be fine for your use but you could always get a cheap sound card.

Don't worry about the "rookie" questions. we all had to start somewhere, and we all had those same questions. And you're welcome, we're here to help.

Celegorm, what do u think about this? Do I need anything else to build my first pc? Otherwise I think that's all I need? Do I need to get a CPU Cooling fan or no? Also, should I get a sound card to improve audio or not really? I will get the monitor, keyboard and mouse on the side. Please let me know. Thank you very much.

I think it says I'll save $79.99 if I get it with the case. Since I'm not, it doesn t apply.

The cpu is a retail package so it will come with a fan&heatsink.
And in my opinion the integrated sound is good enough.

as for the parts, since you are getting a separate psu you might want to look into getting a cheaper case. Since that antec case comes with a 400W psu which of course increases the price.

well case is a lot about personal preference.
So go on newegg and have a look for yourself.
A few things to help you.
a) high price means great quality. That is why most of the antec and lian li cases are expensive, they are just so damn good.
b) You want at least one 120mm fan in there.
c) Since you already have a psu don't get a case with a psu, it will only make it more expensive.

If I'd have to get a cheap one it would probably be something like this.

if you don't mind spending 100+ then I'd highly recommend this one.
