Default advice needed

Hey guys, I was recommended here by another forum I posted my problem on. Hopfully yall dont mind responding.
My computer is an Aopen XC-cube with windows XP.
I have been shutting the computer off at night using the switch on the back of the computer. I know thats not smart, and I think ill have to pay the price. I did this because when i select shutdown, it would just restart.
Anyway, this morning it gives me the options safemode, last configuration that worked...etc etc. Each option brings me back to this same page. Do you think I messed up a magnet or my hardrive?
Thank you.

Certainly sounds like you've ruined the hdd, prob not physically hopefully but more to do with the Windows installation. So no matter what u press u always end back up at the options page? I guess u cud try repairing windows using the install cd, it might write over the damaged files enabling u to start.
