Default adding new graphics card to xp mce

hi. i have a fairly new pc with a Foxconn C51GU01 Motherboard(spec below) with onboard geforce 6100 and a 6003089TV Tuner Hauppauge Amity II. i want to add a new geforce 7950gt ko to play games with. i have a pci-e slot for the new card. do i just hook it up and go or is there something more i have to do to make it work with what i already have or in place of something i have?

how big is your power supply?? your gonna prolly want like a 400 watt psu because that card will require a power source of its own. If I was you I would look at the 8800gts 320mb card, I think they are around 300 dollars (which is what most of the 7950gt's are) and you will have a dx10 compatible card for when all the new games come out. Either way for those cards your gonna need a decent power supply to run them, not gonna work if you have like a 250-300w psu.
