Cool Add Fillable Fields to a PDF document?

Hi everyone, I have a PDF document with lots of really obvious fields like name, date, etc and I want to be able to email it to people so they can fill in these fields. Is there a FREE way to designate these text fields?

I have acrobat reader 8

I don't think that this can be done unless they have a PDF editor.

you can use a free PDF editor, but IMO this is the only way it can be done.

you'd do better to email a link to a website to collect that kind of information.
