Default Adapter Question

Hello,

I don't know if this is the right section to ask this question. If it isn't, please move it to the appropriate forum, thanks.

I want to ask "Why must you be careful not to touch the gold contacts at the bottom of each adapter?"

I would really appreciate it if someone can help me out.

Thanks.

Yep... but I get my grubby hands all over them all the time. Everything has worked for me so far (about a 100 years or so..give or take a few )... If you mean the gold imbedded pins on RAM and such

You don't want to find out what happens when you touch them.
