Exclamation

I can confirm (yay i feel so important saying that ) that taking the RAM out and turning the computer on to see if the motherboard makes a series of beeps or similar tone IS a valid way of testing your motherboard.

So, If you take the RAM out and it does beep or make a series of tones/noise then your motherboard is working.

If you take the RAM out and it does not make a series of beeps or tones - the problem lies with your motherboard.

Just for the skeptics - i asked a techie who came to repair my brothers computer who has been fixing computers for years and he said that this is almost the first recommended diagnostic for a computer which is having problems.

NOTE: if your motherboard does NOT have an integrated buzzer/speaker - plug a standard desktop speaker into the motherboards audio out port and it will work the same.

I thought i should clarify all of that

Ok, I have merged your threads. I can't really answer right now, but I will later.
