So I just bought
Newegg.com - ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard and it supports up to 32 gb of ram that could be ddr3 2200, this only has 4 slots so it has to be 8 gb pieces to fill up all of it, but i can not find ddr3 2200 8gb ram pieces anywhere? why would they make that motherboard setup like that but no one sells the right ram type? help possible? |

I know of one 8gb dimms. They are indeed very rare atm. its for future compatibility and head room. ie. Win 7 64 bit supports over a 100gb of ram but nobody needs that...yet.

Here's how it would be 'dope': "Yo, my computer has got 32 GB of RAM!!!"
That's about all that 32 gigs of ram is good for. Just get 3, 4 GB dimms. 12GB of ram is MORE than enough for the next several years. I play Skyrim on high settings and I only have 4 GB on my main PC. |
