hey guys im having a problem with my mobo, first the ram i have is,

2 256mb ddr micron tech pc2100 sticks
1 512mb ddr centon pc2700 stick

right now i have one each of the 256 and 512 installed, i have the 512 stick in the 4th slot away from the cpu, and the 256 stick in the third slot away from the cpu.

i have tried every different configuration i can think of using all three sticks but when installed the comp wont boot up and an audible message says something like "cpu wont boot due to cpu overclocking"

i have heard about the problem about installing ram on this mobo but i cant seem to figure it out, can someone help?

Hmm... ASUS is crap.... Actually, the problem is that those two rams are based on different semiconductors. Micron makes their own technology, while Centron uses Samsung based semiconductors. The two are NOT combatible.. You will need to use Crucial or Microns RAM in order to make it function, or just use another stick on Centron and toss the 256MB Centron. Also, put one RAM stick in the first slot (nearest the CPU), then another in the third slot.
