Considering you have a raptor, windows will load quicker than ever. It's a great processor, speaking from personal experience. CS:S/BF2 run flawlessly. I didn't have any intentions to overclock it at the time of purchase, so if you don't either, it's definitely best bang for buck. But (if you have the money) the Opteron 165 is definitely another good choice for overclocking. I've never seen one that wasn't able to reach 2.5GHz, and most hit around 2.8-3GHz. Plus, it's dual core, so it'll work well with multi-threaded games. But like I said, I have no regrets (as of now
) of sticking with the single core 4000. It's great, especially for how cheap it is. I can't believe it has fallen so much in price...
ASUS A8N32 SLI-Deluxe, AMD Athlon X2 3800+ @ 2.8GHz, eVGA 8800GTS 320MB, 2GB Corsair XMS DDR400, 160GB WD HDD + 320GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10, AC Freezer 64 Pro, 700W OCZ GameXStream, NZXT Zero :D
I think I've decided to leave... maybe I'll come back sometime.
