Not quite... my office build "ROGUE" (see my sig) only gets like 18-25fps at 1680x1050 when Crysis is maxed out, while my gamer build "AQUOS" gets 30-45fps when maxed out at 1920x1200.

So if three 8800Ultra's don't even run it at a straight 40fps at 1080p, I doubt three 9800GX2's would run it at 100fps at 1080p. Maybe 720p... maybe...

Plus i'm not sure you can have three 9800GX2's in SLI.

I think he meant that 3x 9800s won't give you 100fps. He wasn't referring to YOUR specs dude.

Also consider that 2 or 4 immensely powerful cards aren't going to be too much of a benefit compared to just one if the other parts aren't good at keeping up. Your 30fps friend might've had really bad power management or a component that was really bringing the rest of the system down.

I don't think Cryman really meant maxed out. I think he means everything at "very high" with 0XAA. And we all know the FPS drop AA brings. Also I think he runs it at 1280x1024. Correct me if I'm wrong Cryman.
BTW, I read that AMD's new RV700 (HD 4xxx) core will have 700 stream processor and will use GDDR5 memory.

Oh, in which case, my bad.
I'd rather not spend money on ATi products.

I think it's bad to have a bias towards one brand. You don't want to be a fanboy . The RV700 will blow the 9800GX2 away.
