Has anyone else out there had problems with HP's 9 in 1 Memory card reader? Just bought an HP a1100n with the 9 in 1 memory card reader. I only use one type of camera memory card (xD for a Fuji camera)and the system cannot seem to generate the required pop-up to access the pictures on the card or upload images to the card from the computer. The activity light comes on when I put the card in and you can hear the disk drive trying to do something-but no pop-up.
The card is working as I can go into one of the photo programs the computer came with and manually download images from the card-but the automatic function does not work. I spent 2-1/2 hours on the phone with an HP tech rep to no avail. We tried everything he knew-including going into the G drive properties to make sure all the settings were correct-which they were, resetting the USB Root Hubs, and making sure the "Safely Remove Hardware" function was not causing the problem.
Anything that you can suggest would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave.
