Default Re: 8800GTS 24 Amps @ 12V Rail?? Necessary?

Hey all,

Glad to hear the upsides and downsides. I think I will be going with the Rosewill. I think I may or may not overclock the 8800 since I'm going to buy the X2 5200+ with 2 megs (2 x 1MB L2) of L2 Cache and see how much I can OC the Processor.

The Ultra PSU is a bit more, and I'm trying to stick with as lowest prices as possible in this build.

I also chose that PSU because it has 4 out of 5 eggs.

The worst part about this, is that my 8800 Is sitting right next to me and I can't even use it yet...

A buddy of mine just purchased a new 46" HDTV and we're going to throw my GPU on his rig (5600+, with 4GB XMS DDR2 Ram I think?) And see how Direct X 10 looks on it.

Will be a fun day tomorrow...

Sounds good. Make sure you set the resolution as high as it can go for the tv or it won't look that great.

and use dvi.

All of the Rosewill's I saw at Newegg had 4-5 eggs.

But, if It's for the sake of my new hardware..Perhaps I shall continue to search...
