8600GTS in SLI vs. 7900GTO

I have the 7900GTO (Unfortunatly they don't make them anymore ) I was just wondering if dual 8600GTS's are better then that, if not what is that is the cheapest...(I NEED DIRECTX 10! lol)

You contradicted yourself in a way. If you need DX10, then the two 8600GTS is what you need.

ok theres something not adding up here,

why 2 X 8600GTS's ? lets look at some prices,

8600GTS = £131 -- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132333 X2 = £262
8800GTS = £270 -- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135732 X1 = £270

so it seems like a no brainer to me ??? always get 1 better card rather than 2 X SLI

although for now id stick with the 7900 because that is still a very good card

No, I do believe the price is highlighted in red. There's some sort of saving on it.

That includes for the 8800GTS, which is £230.
