ok last thing the 8800gt is at a good price right now, but the fact that it is PCI Express 2.0 makes me think, will it work on PCI Express x16 or does the motherboard HAVE to support PCI Express 2.0

PCI-e 2.0 is the newest generation of PCI. It is backwards compatible with PCI-e x16, so no, you don't need to get a motherboard with a PCI-e 2.0 slot.

yeah well both HDD's in my PC died so I can't do anything on it, I'm on my lappy right now...lol. But I would love that "super fast link" anyways for when I do get my new HDD in the mail.
