Forget, he doesn't want anything as expensive as an 8800 series, but he could try the 8800GT 256MB, only it's not just the amount of memory that has decreased, the memory clock has also gone down to 1600MHz I think from the 512MB version. The 3850 should be fine for him I would have thought.

Ok, I am confused now, I really want an XFX 8600GT, but I'm hearing the 256 mb HD 38xx series out preforms the 512 mb?

Ok, the way I game I NEED 512 mb of VRAM..
