Default an $800 computer

okay, so i have/will have $800 soon or more if i wait. and i was planning on getting a new computer, going custom built. now i was hoping for it to be high-end for a year or 2. i dont know if im going am2 or 939. probably not intel.

in this budget, i will need:
video card (considering 7600gt)
cpu (considering x2)
mobo (maybe sli for expandability)
case (eh, just leave $60 out of the budget for it)
ram (1 or 2 gb will be good)
hdd
cooling (air)
and anything else that i might have forgotten

no monitor.

thanks guys. i will probably start building in a week or two.

It will be very hard to get that for 800. Your budget is too low. Sorry.

Socket 939 do NOT take DDR2.

Also, do you need keyboard, mouse, or windows XP?

yeah. im really looking forward to it. but i dont know if i should spend the extra few dollars to go am2(because i dont know if its gonna really take off) or if i should stick with the tried-and-true socket939.

oh yeah, i remember what my other dilema was...(warning: rant)
i just bought an xbox360, and my mom is telling me that im buying too much stuff. and i see what she means, but i just got a job, im 16 and now, its summer. like the 360 is my current gaming machine. but i do have games for the pc but i dont play them cuz my pc can barely run them in low settings(onboard video, etc).
but then i know that we(my family) will need a new pc soon. so idk.
i just spent $400 on a 'uber' gaming machine - xbox 360. and now im spending $800+ on another (pc). but the pc is gonna suite my other gaming needs. plus help with other programs.

so idk, im just like "f**k it'. cuz im tired of waiting to build a pc.

edit: yes i will need mouse, keyboard.

and my budget is now up to $1000

my budget is higher than $632.92. so i think i can get a little better than that.

this is more of what i was thinking

X2 3800+ (AM2)
MSI ... SLI (AM2 )
1GB OCZ DDR2 800 RAM
POWER SUPPLY(idk, something for around $35)
HDD
CASE
DVD DRIVE

that right there is $755.

and then i can get a nice video card. maybe a 7600gt for about $160.

that brings the total to $915. not bad, eh?
