My AMD Thunderbird runs VERY VERY hot on stock cooling 60 It an there isent even any high performace parts.

Motherboard - ASUS P4P800 SE / Intel P4 3.0Ghz @ 3.6Ghz w/ HT 800Mhz FSB @ 960Mhz
RAM -1gig (512x2) GeIL PC3200 In Dual Chan @ 480Mhz
GPU - PNY GeForce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 (500mhz Core @ 550mhz / 900mhz @ 1000mhz memory)
Sound Card - Creative Labs Audigy 2 Value
Harddrives - Seagate 300GB SATA150 / WD 120gb 3DMark03 Score- 8685 3DMark05 Score - 3392 AquaMark3 Score - 52,275

Any other thoughts about my choices?...

If I went the AMD route, exactly what would be comparable?
As far as I can tell there arent many AMD Sli compatible MB's out there...can someone point me to a good one?

The video card needs to go for under $200...I'm now leaning toward a 6800GS. Seems to be good value for the buck.

Any input would be highly appreciated,.

well in amd terms the 3200+ is about a P4 3GHz but keep in mind the amds overclock like crazy so u can get it way faster, have a look at the ASUS socket 939 boards theyre pretty good or better yet DFI boards, the 6800GS is a very good card i highly recommend it
