8 svchost.exe processes running...

I know svchost.exe is supposedly an important process but I think I recall being able to end one of them (or hopefully a few more). One of the svchost.exe processes is taking up 30,000 K of memory usage .. it'd be great to get rid of that .. any ideas?

it is normal for this to happen. dont end the task of any of them. it could cause instabliblity and some programs not to work. if you dont like how much RAM they take up then buy more RAM because those processes are un endable IMO

yeah just let them run. Having 8 of them is quite normal.

yh if ur comp is running normal then leave them but 1 of my svchost's was not letting my IE open so i killed the 1 that was taking up the most ram and it opens
