Default 7950gt

how much will you benefit from having 512MB of RAM instead of 256MB of RAM and is it worth the extra cash?

With newer games coming out this year forward, it'll benefit it, but for any other games it's not really necessary.

yeah, the 8 series is your way to go. especially if your thinking of the 512mb 7950gt becuase you can get one of the 8800gts 384mb (i think thats it) for roughly the same price or a lil more and you get the dx10 support. I just got a 7950 2 months ago and then they release that 8800gts for about 30 bucks more than i spent on this card, definently wish i would have waited but i wanted my computer working again and got sick of waiting.

The 320 is good if you don't run really high resolutions.

just hang it there and wait for ATI to release R600. Another direct x 10 card.
whichever card will be better, nvidia 8800 or the ati 2800, the worser card will be cheaper and affordable.

Me I'm still waiting for a few things for the best out of my money:
Quad cores more affordable price
R600 from ATI finally comes out
DDR3 is introduced.

Might take another half year but worth wait.

I would wait too, Nvidia and ATI both have new stuff coming out soon.
