Exclamation 7900 GTO vs 8800gt/gts

Well I'm upgrading my pc's graphics card, and I just wanted to know if i would see a noticable difference between these graphic cards. Would I see a downgrade or an upgrade...? Also would the new graphic cards play Crysis on max settings? Thanks!

Depends on the resolution. An 8800GT might max out Crysis at 1280x1024.

The 8800 is significantly better (note that the 8800GT is even better than the 8800GTS compared here):

Well I like playing on 1024x768, but I guess the higher the resolution the harder it is to pump out the graphics?

Yeah. 1024x768 is even better, I'm pretty sure an 8800GT would be able to max out Crysis at that resolution.

Good choice, it's probably the best card for the money right now. Only about $280 on newegg for a very nice factory overclocked card:

best thing to do is run it on a high resolution in high settings instead of max

Not really. As long as your monitor has decent downscaling capabilities, it's fine.
